Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the spi: qup driver where the system may dereference an error pointer if DMA (Direct Memory Access) setup fails during the probe process. When DMA setup fails, the driver is designed to fall back to PIO (Programmed Input/Output) mode. However, failure to clear the DMA channel pointers upon this setup failure can lead to an error pointer dereference or an attempt to release a channel a second time during subsequent probe errors or driver unbind operations.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
