Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle Java SE versions 8u491 and 8u491-perf

Description An issue exists in the Installation component that allows a low-privileged attacker with access to the infrastructure where the software executes to compromise the system. Successful exploitation requires human interaction and can result in a full takeover of the software. The flaw can be triggered via APIs in the affected component, such as through a web service providing data to those APIs. This also impacts deployments running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets that load untrusted code from the internet and rely on the Java sandbox for security.
