VectorAV:A/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Apache NimBLE versions prior to 1.10.0
Description A classic buffer overflow occurs in the HCI socket transport because the system fails to verify if a received HCI event fits within the configured event pool before copying it. Exploitation requires a misconfigured pool size or a malicious or compromised controller on the other end of the HCI socket link, rather than over-the-air Bluetooth access.
Recommendations Upgrade to version 1.10.0.
