Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the mms114 driver where MMS134S and MMS136 touch controllers use an event size of 6 bytes instead of 8 bytes. When the mms114 read reg() function reads touch data packets into the buffer, events are packed at 6-byte intervals. Because the driver uses standard C array indexing, it expects elements to be 8 bytes apart, causing any touch events after the first one to be read from incorrect offsets and parsed improperly.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
