Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the KVM arm64 implementation where a race condition occurs between the
kvm translate vncr() function and an MMU notifier. In this scenario, an early return fails to release a reference on the faulted in PFN (Page Frame Number), leading to a PFN leak. This is resolved by adding a call to the kvm release faultin page() function for the unused PFN.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
