Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the iommufd fault fops read() function where a failure in copy to user() within an inner list for each entry loop only breaks the inner loop. This causes the outer while loop to continuously re-fetch the fault group and retry the failing copy to user() operation, resulting in 100% CPU usage while the fault->mutex is held.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
