Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A reference leak occurs in the usb gadget f printer component. The
printer open() function increments the dev->kref variable regardless of whether the open operation is successful. When the character device is already open, the function returns -EBUSY, but because the Virtual File System (VFS) does not call the release function for failed open attempts, each rejected second open permanently leaks one reference.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
