Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A slab-use-after-free issue exists in the
media entity remove link() function during the removal of the imx8 isi module. The issue occurs because the mxc isi remove() function invokes mxc isi crossbar cleanup() before mxc isi v4l2 cleanup(). Consequently, the crossbar cleanup process frees the media entity pads, while the subsequent v4l2 cleanup attempt still tries to remove media links that reference those already freed pads.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
