Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description Resource leaks occur in the PCI altera driver during probe failure. The chained IRQ handler is established during the probe process but is typically only removed during driver removal. If the pci host probe() function fails, the handler and INTx IRQ domain remain active while the devm-managed host bridge storage containing struct altera pcie is released, resulting in a stale data pointer. Additionally, interrupts are enabled before pci host probe() is called; if a failure occurs after this point, the controller interrupt source remains active during the removal of the chained handler and INTx domain.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
