Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the ALSA usb-audio component where the DualSense jack-detection input handler fails to safely verify if an input device belongs to the same physical controller during rapid disconnect and reconnect events. The function snd dualsense ih match() utilizes kobject get path() to build kobject path strings for comparison. If the USB device kobject name becomes invalid during a disconnect, the system may encounter a fault in strlen() while dereferencing kobject names.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
