Description An issue exists in the Industrial I/O (IIO) buffer hardware consumer where the scan mask is not properly freed during buffer release. This occurred because the scan mask storage was moved to a separate bitmap zalloc() allocation stored in buffer.scan mask, but the iio hw buf release() function was not updated to handle this change, leading to a failure to free the mask before the buffer wrapper is released.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
