Description An issue exists in the ad sigma delta ADC driver where the Chip Select (CS) signal can remain permanently asserted and internal states can leak. In the ad sigma delta single conversion() function, calling set mode(AD SD MODE IDLE) and disable one() while the keep cs asserted variable is true causes SPI transfers to maintain the CS assertion. Additionally, in the error path of ad sd buffer postenable(), a failure after set mode(AD SD MODE CONTINUOUS) leaves the device in continuous conversion mode with CS asserted. This state also leaves the bus locked variable true after spi bus unlock(), which may lead to concurrent SPI access when subsequent operations call spi sync locked() without the bus lock actually being held.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
