Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the rtw89 wifi driver regarding the handling of malformed AMPDU (Aggregate MAC Protocol Data Unit) frames. The drop logic fails to correctly process the first AMPDU packet when it is paired with a specific range of sequence numbers, resulting in unexpected packet loss. This failure is more frequent during high traffic periods during the rekey process, which can lead to the device disconnecting from the Access Point (AP).
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
