Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.10-201.fc44.aarch64
Description
An issue exists in the ACPI CPPC component where the definition of
reg->access width varies based on the reg->space id type. When the type is ACPI ADR SPACE PLATFORM COMM, access width is used to indicate the PCC region. If this value exceeds 4, it can trigger a UBSAN (Undefined Behavior Sanitizer) shift-out-of-bounds warning, specifically when the shift exponent is too large for a 32-bit int type. This occurs within the cpc write() function.Recommendations
Update the Linux kernel to version 7.0.10-201.fc44.aarch64 or later.
