Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the Network File System server (NFSD) during layout state revocation. The find one sb stid() function skips state IDs (stids) where sc status is non-zero. However, the SC TYPE LAYOUT case within the nfsd4 revoke states() function fails to set sc status before calling nfsd4 close layout(). This causes the retry loop to repeatedly identify the same layout stid, resulting in an infinite loop that hangs the revoker indefinitely.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
