Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the KVM arm64 nested virtualization implementation within the kvm hyp handle mops() function. The function resets the single-step state machine during the state rewind for a MOPS exception by modifying vcpu cpsr() and writing the result directly to hardware. Because vcpu cpsr() is a synthetic value used to manage vEL2, it requires translation before hardware writing, which the MOPS handler fails to perform.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
