Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
CasfID Servicios Tecnológicos S.L.U. NFC wristbands (version used at Resurrection Fest 2025)
Description
The cashless payment system uses an insecure cryptographic algorithm in its NFC wristbands based on MIFARE Classic technology (FM11RF08S). A weakness in the authentication algorithm allows an attacker to use a Backdoored Nested Attack—a technique used to recover keys from MIFARE Classic cards—to retrieve access keys, read the full contents of the wristband, and clone credentials onto rewritable cards. This could lead to attendee impersonation and fraudulent use of account balances.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
