Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Kong Kubernetes Ingress Controller (affected versions not specified)
Description
A user with namespace-scoped Secret creation privileges can trigger a cluster-wide ingress configuration denial of service. The controller collects CA-certificate Secrets across all watched namespaces using only a label selector, lacking ingress-class or namespace restrictions. Because the CA-certificate primary key is derived from a user-supplied field in the Secret, duplicate CA-certificate IDs lead the Kong Gateway to reject the entire configuration document, which halts all ingress changes across the cluster.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
