Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Kong Operator (affected versions not specified)
Description
The embedded Kong Kubernetes Ingress Controller (KIC) within the Kong Operator allows a user with namespace-scoped Secret creation privileges to trigger a cluster-wide ingress configuration denial of service. The KIC collects CA-certificate Secrets across all watched namespaces using only a label selector, lacking ingress-class or namespace restrictions. Because the CA-certificate primary key is derived from a user-supplied field in the Secret, duplicate CA-certificate IDs cause the Kong Gateway to reject the entire configuration document, which halts all ingress changes across the cluster.
