Description An out-of-bounds write exists in the tchdr bytestream read() function. This issue occurs because the software fails to properly validate user-supplied data, allowing a write operation to occur past the end of an allocated buffer. A physically present attacker can exploit this flaw without authentication to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
