Description A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the AVRCP Br Response Parser due to insufficient validation of the length of user-supplied data before it is copied to a heap-based buffer. Network-adjacent attackers can exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code in the context of the device, provided they can pair a malicious Bluetooth device with the target system. The issue specifically occurs during the handling of AVRCP packets.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
