Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GStreamer (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw in the parsing of MRF files allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. The issue occurs due to insufficient validation of user-supplied data, leading to an out-of-bounds write, where data is written past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction, such as visiting a malicious page or opening a malicious file, and allows the attacker to execute code within the context of the current process.
