Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GStreamer (affected versions not specified)
Description A heap-based buffer overflow exists during the parsing of MRF files. The issue occurs because the software fails to properly validate the length of user-supplied data before copying it to a heap-based buffer. A remote attacker can exploit this by inducing a user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, allowing for arbitrary code execution in the context of the current process.
