Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Cisco IOS XE Software (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem allows an authenticated remote attacker to cause a device to reload, leading to a denial of service (DoS) condition. This occurs due to improper error handling when parsing SNMP requests across SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3. Exploitation is possible by sending a malformed SNMP request, provided the attacker possesses the SNMPv1 or v2c read-only or read-write community string, or valid SNMPv3 user credentials.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
