Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the KVM VMX component where the system fails to conditionally grab vmcs12 during CR8 interception updates. Specifically, vmcs12 should only be retrieved if the vCPU is in guest mode. Failure to do so can lead to a lockdep assertion failure within the get vmcs12() function, particularly during vCPU creation.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
