Description Improper input validation occurs during the processing of IEC 61850 Sampled Values (SV) frames. A specially crafted SV frame can cause the responsible process to terminate, which disrupts the processing of alerts for Sampled Values traffic. This issue does not impact overall system availability or the processing of other traffic types. The affected process restarts automatically, and the failure is reported to the user immediately.
