Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
Cleanup bugs exist in the
vivid init() function. A reference leak occurs when platform device register() fails because the failure path jumps to free output strings without dropping the device reference for the current platform device. Additionally, the unreg driver label incorrectly invokes platform driver register() instead of platform driver unregister(), which prevents proper cleanup if workqueue creation fails after the driver has been successfully registered.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
