Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the stm32-dcmipp media component where queued buffers leak if the
dcmipp bytecap start streaming() function returns an error without returning those buffers via vb2 buffer done(). Specifically, the function returns -EINVAL when the source subdevice cannot be resolved from the media graph before pm runtime resume and get() and media pipeline start() are called. This failure triggers a WARN ON(owned by drv count) within the vb2 framework, leading to a memory leak of the queued buffers.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
