Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak occurs in the pwc media component when the start streaming() function returns an error without returning queued buffers via vb2 buffer done(). This happens during two specific scenarios: when the USB device is disconnected (-ENODEV) or when mutex lock interruptible() is interrupted by a signal (-ERESTARTSYS). In these cases, the vb2 start streaming() function triggers a warning and the queued buffers are leaked.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
