Description An issue exists in the drm/amdgpu/userq component where a GPU reset can lead to an indefinite fence wait. This occurs because the pre reset process only force-completes fences for queues in the MAPPED state. Queues in other states, such as those mid-eviction, maintain a pending last fence that never signals after a GPU reset. Consequently, the process teardown function amdgpu evf mgr flush suspend() and the eviction/suspend worker amdgpu eviction fence suspend worker wait indefinitely, which can cause the system to wedge. The issue involves the amdgpu userq evict() function and dma fence wait timeout().

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
