Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the
drm/amdgpu component. The function amdgpu acpi vfct bios() uses acpi get table() to fetch the VFCT table, which increments the validation count and maps the table. However, the function fails to call acpi put table() to release the reference. This results in a mapping leak every time the function is called, regardless of whether a matching VBIOS image is located.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
