Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/imagination component where the pvr vm context lookup() function is incorrectly validated using IS ERR(). Because pvr vm context lookup() returns either a pointer or NULL, the use of IS ERR() can lead to a kernel oops due to a NULL pointer dereference. This can be triggered by passing an invalid VM context handle from userspace to the DRM IOCTL PVR CREATE CONTEXT ioctl endpoint.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
