Description
A memory leak occurs in the txgbe driver when removing the driver. Perfect FDIR (Flow Director) filters can be added while the interface is down and stored in a software list for later restoration. Because
unregister netdev() only calls ndo stop when the device is active, the txgbe fdir filter exit() function within txgbe close() is bypassed, causing the filters to leak during driver removal.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
