Description An issue exists in the wanxl pci init one() function where the allocated card is stored in driver data before the PLX BAR (Base Address Register, a mechanism used by PCI devices to request memory address space) is mapped. During early probe failures, the process unwinds through wanxl pci remove one(), which unconditionally calls wanxl reset(). Because wanxl reset() dereferences card->plx while it is still NULL, the error path can dereference a NULL MMIO (Memory-Mapped I/O) pointer.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
