Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the dpaa2-eth component. The
fsl mc get endpoint() function returns a MAC endpoint device with a reference acquired via device find child(), which is then stored in mac->mc dev. During the disconnect process, the system closes the MAC and frees the dpaa2 mac object but fails to release the reference stored in mac->mc dev, leading to a reference leak for every successful connection and subsequent disconnection.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
