Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the dpaa2-switch component. The
fsl mc get endpoint() function returns a MAC endpoint device with a reference acquired via device find child(). This device is stored in mac->mc dev during the switch port connect process. Because the disconnect path fails to drop the endpoint device reference stored in mac->mc dev before freeing the dpaa2 mac object, a device reference is leaked every time a MAC is disconnected after a successful connection.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
