Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the btusb recv event realtek() function where the system reads the event code at data[0] and the Realtek subevent code at data[2] without first validating the event length. This can lead to the misclassification of short vendor events as coredumps if the byte adjacent to a two-byte event header is 0x34, as the classifier attempts to read a nonexistent third byte.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
