Description An issue exists in the SMB client where the parse dfs referrals() function fails to validate the PathConsumed value in a response. If a malformed response provides a PathConsumed value larger than the search name, subsequent Distributed File System (DFS) parsing can advance beyond the end of the path.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
