Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the s390 checksum implementation where the
csum partial() function calls csum copy() with copy=false and dst=NULL. On systems lacking the vector facility, csum copy() reverts to the cksm() function. Because dst is NULL, the checksum is incorrectly calculated from address zero rather than the intended source buffer.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
