Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak exists in the ipw2100 pci init one() function. This occurs because memory allocated by the ipw2100 alloc device() function is not properly freed during certain error paths. The issue is addressed by ensuring that direct returns are converted to a goto statement that leads to the error path return, except when pci enable device() fails, where error handling is performed inline because the priv variable is not yet set.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
