Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the RDMA/irdma component where a user application can invoke the rereg mr() function on special memory regions used during the creation of QP, CQ, or SRQ objects. These regions are registered via a two-step process and are marked by an ABI field to indicate they lack a valid mkey, which normally prevents the submission of a CQP command. However, because the core perceives these as real MR objects, calling rereg mr() can trigger a CQP operation using a zero-initialized mkey value of 0.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
