Description Improper handling of overlap between protected memory ranges in some microcode within Ring 0: Hypervisor may allow an escalation of privilege. An authorized adversary with privileged user access can execute a low complexity attack via local access to gain higher privileges without requiring user interaction or special internal knowledge. This issue impacts the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the vulnerable system.
