Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Kong Mesh (affected versions not specified)
Description
When an operator adds an HTTPS control plane profile to kumactl without providing a CA certificate, the tool disables TLS verification and transmits API tokens over the unverified connection. This allows an attacker positioned on the network path between the operator and the control plane to intercept user or admin API tokens and perform unauthorized actions against the control plane using those credentials.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
