Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions kuma-dp (affected versions not specified)
Description When started against an HTTPS control plane without a provided CA certificate, the data plane establishes a connection with TLS peer verification disabled. This allows the dataplane authentication token to be transmitted over an unverified connection. An on-path actor can intercept this token to impersonate the control plane, enabling the injection of a forged bootstrap configuration and subsequent takeover of the proxy.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
