Description
A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the
modbusgwd component due to improper handling of Modbus TCP request data. A remote, unauthenticated attacker with access to the affected service can trigger this condition, leading to a denial of service. A heap-based buffer overflow occurs when a program writes more data to a heap memory block than it can hold, potentially corrupting memory.Recommendations
