Description Uncontrolled Recursion occurs when a program continues to call a function without a proper termination condition. In this case, an authenticated user with read privileges on a single index can submit a specially crafted search request. Because the deeply nested structure of the request is processed without a depth limit, it exhausts the thread stack, resulting in a denial of service that terminates the affected node.
