Description An out-of-bounds write issue exists in the process-image management functionality. A local authenticated attacker with device configuration access can write controlled data outside the process-image buffer bounds and corrupt adjacent kernel memory. This is achieved by providing crafted device configuration data and input through the piControl character device, leading to kernel memory corruption and denial of service.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
