Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A timing issue exists in the i.MX8MP VC8000E power up sequence where the VC8000E reset de-assertion edge and AXI clock may conflict. This can cause the VPU NOC power down handshake to hang during VC8000E or VPUMIX power up and down cycling.
Recommendations
As a temporary workaround, set bit2 (
vc8000e clk en) of BLK CLK EN CSR to 0 to gate off the AXI clock and VC8000E clock sent to the VC8000E, as well as the AXI clock sent to the VPU NOC m v 2 interface during VC8000E power up.At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
