Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the tracing/osnoise component where the
synchronize rcu() function is not called during unregistration. This failure to synchronize allows the reference on the tracer to be released before RCU readers traversing the instance list have finished their operations. RCU (Read-Copy-Update) is a synchronization mechanism that allows multiple readers to access data simultaneously while it is being updated.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
