Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
fs/resctrl component where a pseudo-locked group's RMID (Resource Monitoring ID) is freed during its creation. During an unmount operation, the rmdir all sub() function unconditionally frees all RMIDs of all groups, leading to a double-free of the pseudo-locked group's RMID. This causes the same RMID entry to be added to the rmid free lru linked list twice.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
